One minute short film remake

One minute short film remake

- Mise-en-scene- how much attention did you pay to each of the elements of MES and why? How effective is it in your end product?

Throughout the short i tried to keep all elements of mise en scene similar to the original. i kept the setting the same as i wanted to make it as true to in the original sort, we set in in the computer room in the school. To add i kept the characters hair and make up very natural to mirror the character in the original. similarlly the characters expression is very much alike to the original character, for example when the writer is contemplating what to write we tried to replicate the thinking face.

- Cinematography- Did you replicate shots from the original? Did you make different shot selections? What caused these decisions?

Most of the shots we tried to replicate however that being said as it was a quick task set some of the shots are a bit shaky or at the wrong angle due to lack of time.

Editing- Did you change shot lengths, transitions etc? Why?

i change some of the lengths of shots to what i believed were the right lengths and i also increased the speed of some of them such as the typing shots as i thought the could be slow at time and almost boring. that being said i kept the transitions the same as i thought that worked best.

Sound- Did you re-record sound? Would you add more dialogue and/or other sounds if you could? Why?

For sound i completely discarded the diagetic sound from filming and added music over the top as there was no dialogue within the film and i felt like the music helped progress the narrative.
